Aston Villa manager Remi Garde is pleased with the teams recent performances and feels the players now have the 'right attitude' to win their fight for survival in the Premier League.
Aston Villa have taken 4 point from their past 2 games, having only scored 6 points in the opening months of the season but they still remain 9 points adrift of the rest of the league. Garde has hailed a change of attitude in the camp as the main reason that his team are now finding a way to compete in Premier League games.
Remi Garde has however, shown some frustration at not getting the 3 points yesterday citing what he feels was a definite penalty claim being denied as the reason his side did not win the game.
“If you look at the two games we’ve played we can be pleased about the spirit,” Garde said. “These players have the right attitude to try to save the club from relegation.
“Sometimes it takes time. If there is pre-season it’s because it’s useful and when you don’t have pre-season to work with your team it’s more difficult.
“I didn’t have this time and when I arrived the team had lost seven games in a row. I know my face was new in the dressing room – my language as well – but it doesn’t take hours to put it right.”
